When Indie favourite ‘Splosion Man was the recent XBL Deal of the Week - sparking off further interest among the TSA community about the game – we decided to get in touch with developer Twisted Pixel and remind them that PS3 fans also have a penchant for four-player co-op platforming high jinks, and inquire about the possibility of a port.
Unfortunately their response was not the one we were hoping for; though it would appear future detonation on the PSN is not completely out of the question. Twisted Pixel’s Jay Stuckwisch informed us:
Actually, at this time there is nothing to announce on releasing our titles to PSN. You never know what may happen down the line though. Keep an eye on us, we have some awesome things to come.
Apart from ‘Splosion Man, Twisted Pixel have also released ‘The Maw’ on XBLA, and have the upcoming ‘Captain Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley’ in the works, also for the 360 platform.
So, admittedly, not much information here, but at least you now know. Here’s our interpretation of an already succinct response: “Not right now. Maybe later. We’ve got new awesome games to focus on.”
You can’t argue with that.
