Sony has revealed that Team Japan’s Patchwork Heroes will be released on the PlayStation Store this week.
Speaking of the game on the PlayStation Blog, Director Yuki Ikeda said,
The premise of the game is to use a big saw to cut giant flying battleships into pieces before they come and destroy your town. It’s full of thrills from when you cut big chunks off the flying gunships, lots of action fighting and dodging enemies, and also collecting friends and items in the game.
The whole idea comes from the fact that Mr Ikeda wanted to make an action game that went along the lines of like cutting up paper with scissors, and for some bizarre reason he then ended up pairing that with giant aircraft and battleships. Each to their own, I guess.
Anyway the game looks strangely different but at the same time, quite good fun, as is usually the case with games from the wonderfully talented Japan Studio. We certainly look forward to trying it out and bringing you our thoughts.
