91Andriasang are reporting that Yakuza 4, which was released in Japan today has had the highest initial shipment in the series history.
The games director Toshihiro Nagoshi revealed as much during an open interview conducted at a Shinjuku launch event for the game.
Nagoshi said that he’s very pleased with this as both Yakuza 1&2 released at the PS2′s peak, while he feels that the PlayStation 3 is still to reach these heights.
We brought you news a few days ago that Yakuza 5 may already be in development, even though the third installment has only just launched recently in Europe.
