It is being reported this evening that Square Enix are actually considering remaking the PlayStation classic Final Fantasy VII, although it won’t necessarily appear on PlayStation.
Speaking to Siliconera at a recent FFXIII launch party, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada said,
Right now we don’t have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII, we’re going to explore the possibility – whether or not we’re going to do it, if we’re going to do it, and the platform.
So there we go, if and when it is remade it may not just be PlayStation fans who get to play it, that’s if it even appears on a PlayStation at all.
