Gears of War 3 Announced

Oops! Apparently the boffins who press buttons and flick switches on the Xbox Live service weren’t in on the memo that Cliff Bleszinski’s appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show was moved to Monday night. On that show Cliff was gearing up (see what I did there?) to announce Gears of War 3, the final game in the core trilogy of the Gears Universe.

Unfortunately, Fallon’s rescheduling seems to have meant that the advert went live before the announcement did. Oh well, maybe Cliff can talk about those PlayStation 3 development rumours and his studio’s peculiar decision to open an entire branch in Japan when he puts in an appearance on Monday night.

Gears of War 3 appears to be scheduled for April next year.
