We revealed that the EU PSN Store Updates were moving to Wednesday a few weeks back, but it’s now come to light that the US Store will be doing a similar thing. We say ‘similar’, because it appears that our American cousins will be getting their hands on PlayStation goodness a day earlier each week – Tuesdays.
Presumably to combat complaints that Xbox 360 owners were getting access to downloadable content, demos and whatnot a whole 24 hours before PlayStation 3 owners were, Sony have taken the steps to correct this. So, Europeans will get the treats on the same day as 360 owners, and the Americans a day earlier.
So, as of May F5 Thursdays will no longer be a reality, confined to our distant memories just the same way F5 Fridays were (remember those) – Sony launching DLC, games, themes and demos alongside Microsoft – there must be something in the water at PlayStation HQ these days. What are your thoughts on these moves?
