A live-action six-part series called “Bright Falls” based on the upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive – Alan Wake – has been announced.

Described as a “thrilling prequel to the mystery unfolding in Alan Wake”, it promises to be filled with cliffhangers, suspense and likens itself to Twin Peaks – one of the game’s inspirations.

Xbox LIVE will have the first two episodes on April 30th but they will also be available for viewing via BrightFalls.com as of May 4th. Subsequent episodes will be released on May 8th and 14th with the “shocking conclusion” released on May 18th.
