Sometimes it is quite difficult bringing gaming news to the hordes of SixthAxis readers, not because of thinking what to write but because we’re often ahead of curve we may have already covered it. Seeing this news floating around today I had to take a long hard look through the TSA archives before posting.

With the earlier announcement of Call Of Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch’s next entry in to the Call Of Duty series and its 9th November release date, attention has turned to uncovering the games content, gameplay and locations. It is with the latter of these that GAME appears to confirm our long held suspicions of the locations within the game.

Their synopsis reads “”Now you will witness the birth of the Elite Special Forces and take part in off-the-record missions using unconventional weaponry to get the job done! From Cuba to the Arctic and the jungles of Vietnam, Call of Duty: Black Ops features stunning cinematic graphics and intense gameplay that puts you right at the heart of the action.”

I wasn’t aware the Inuits had strong communist beliefs, but it’s probably better to be safe than sorry – unless it’s a ‘No Russian’ style level where you have to walk at impossibly slow pace through a level where your compatriots are needlessly slaughtering thousands of seal pups, who knows and I guess we’ll find out in due course.

Of course we already knew the game would feature Cuba and Vietnam, because we’ve already discussed that a year ago – yes a whole year. Stay tuned to TheSixthAxis, we’re just planning next years news, already.
