Paris – the city of love, home to great cuisine and, of course, home to historical landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Well, 40 minutes outside of Paris and you will find the small town of Chantilly. Whilst Chantilly’s biggest claim to fame may be some form of Lace, on this occasion it had something far better than all of the above.

Bethesda held a two-day event to present four massive titles and the lovely folks over at Lunch PR extended an invitation to TheSixthAxis. I took some time to decide because, let’s face it, it was going to be horrible: a four-star Chateau, food and drink on the house and early previews of some of the most anticipated games around?

I did it for you.

So what were the games? Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, RAGE, Brink and a certain game called Fallout: New Vegas. With some offering never-before-seen footage, these two days were going to be very interesting indeed.

Things kicked off almost immediately upon arriving in Chantilly and after a brief introductory presentation explaining what we could expect, we were expertly organised and lead around the never-ending corridors and staircases of the Chateau de Montvillargenne. We were shown Fallout: New Vegas and RAGE on the first day and Brink and Hunted: The Demon’s Forge on the second. There may have been a bit of alcohol and gambling (fake money, of course) in between but I’m sure you don’t want to hear about that.

It was a busy, non-stop two days and hopefully, after reading the preview articles, you’ll be even more excited about these games than you already are.

I suppose I should let you guys know, yes you, the community, that you are one of the reasons why TheSixthAxis was given this amazing opportunity. Your friendliness, helpfulness and general all-round awesomeness was commented on and it’s this that makes us stand out from the crowd. Obviously it’s also because we have amazingly talented writers who could pass for professional models. Probably.
