Now that the name has been decided, it looks like the next big Move question is “What’s it going to cost?” We recently ran with British tabloid The Sun’s quite likely finger-in-the-air claim of “around £45/€52.” Of course, not only are we unsure if there is any fact behind this seemingly random claim, it’s also unclear what The Sun believes you’ll be getting for that sum. One Move, Two Move, Three Move, more? Is the camera bundled in with that price? What about a LENS*?

Now we have GameStop Canada claiming Sony’s motion controller will retail at $59.99. Once again it’s a figure below the previously mooted £100/€115 mark, an RRP Sony would need to aim for if they have serious ambitions of competing with the likes of old motion stalwart Nintendo and fellow future flapper Microsoft. It also lends some credence to The Sun’s earlier figure once you get the conversion calculators out.

Perhaps a sign that something was unintentionally revealed, the details on the site have since been removed. Then again, they did get the spelling of PlayStation slightly wrong, so who knows, this could be complete bunk.

We’ll find out more about Sony’s Move (like its real price and what the bundles will consist of) at E3 next month.
