Every other news item seems to be about Call Of Duty and I only have to say “Modern Warfare” to Gastos and his eyes glaze over and he starts mumbling about kill streaks. That’s my excuse for us missing this DLC news on Friday and I’m sticking with it.

Called ‘Resurgence’ the new pack includes three new maps plus two re-worked versions of maps from the first Modern Warfare.  The two returning maps are ’Strike’ and ‘Vacant’ and the three new areas are Carnival (an abandoned amusement park), Trailer Park (a ‘super condensed’ maze-style map) and Fuel (large, sniper-friendly and set in an oil refinery).

Resurgence will be dropping on to Xbox Live on June 3rd but no PS3 release date has been announced, if Microsoft have the same exclusivity deal as the first map pack we can assume it will land on the PSN around mid July.

In other topographical depiction news rumour has it yet another developer has joined the Call Of Duty franchise. G4 claims that Singularity developers Raven have been drafted in to create maps for Call Of Duty: Black Ops. Allegedly, Raven have been pulled off (fnar) working on a secret James Bond stealth title to develop maps for Black Ops.

Activision have wheeled out the usual “.. does not comment on rumor and speculation,” line but as all work has halted on James Bond films it’s quite possible they may of decided to put a James Bond game on hold until the movie franchise is back on track.
