THQ have confirmed to Destructoid they will be joining the likes of EA and Ubisoft by charging owners of pre-owned games to play online.

UFC Undisputed 2010 will be the first game to ship with a one-time code for access to online features. Those who purchase the game second hand will have to pay $5 (400 MS points) if they wish to enter Fight Camp mode, which allows up to 40 players to train together online. Cost to other regions have yet to be announced.

In their statement, THQ stated:

This is a significant value-add to the game as players can continually improve their skills by training with their friends and bringing teams of MMA specialists together.

Destructoid have also pointed out that there is no trial period so even those who rent the game will have to pay for access if they wish to experience the premium online features.
