Paramount Digital Entertainment have announced that Maverick, Goose, Ice Man and Viper are all heading to the PSN in the DoubleSix-developed Top Gun game.
Let’s get it out of the way, shall we? “I feel the neeeeeeeeed…the neeeeeed for speed.” Ah, that’s better. Where were we?
Releasing on PSN, PC and MAC, Top Gun will be a free-flying air combat shooter. Enter the academy as Maverick, with Goose by your side, with the ultimate goal of heading onto the…you know the words…”Highway to the Danger Zone, Ride into the Danger Zone”.
Ahem. Top Gun will feature 2 single player modes, one being Campaign – whereby you’ll train, progress and succeed – and the other being Horde Mode – whereby you’ll fight endless waves of increasingly difficult enemies. It will also have 5 multiplayer modes, allowing up to 16 people to battle it out it online. The game will feature various flying machines, each with their own unique strengths and abilities.
The game is being published by Paramount Digital Entertainment and developed by DoubleSix – the guys behind Burn Zombie Burn. It’s due for release this summer.
There has been no mention of a homoerotic shirtless volleyball mini-game, however.
