Natal Is Dead. Long Live Wave

If you want to launch a motion control peripheral this year, it’s got to have four letters in it.  PlayStation’s Move might have met that particular criteria first, but it appears that Microsoft might well be second.

Natal, according to E3 busting rumours from NowGamer, is dead, with the site claiming they’ve “learnt from a source close to Microsoft that the official name for Project Natal will be revealed as ‘Wave’” at E3 next month.

Rumours pointing to Natal, sorry, Wave being upwards of £100 firmly knock the device out of the casual market it’s clear Microsoft are so dearly targeting.  Let’s hope all that was a trick, and E3′s motion battle has some real legs.

Microsoft have declined to comment on the story.
