Hothead Games’ DeathSpank has got a story trailer and it’s full to the brim with rambunctious tomfoolery and general awesomeness. Stemming from the same mind that gave us “The Secret of Monkey Island,” there’s no surprise to see Ron Gilbert’s characteristic humour shine throughout the download-only adventure game. “Why do you need orphans anyway?” asks one inebriated pixie. ”Are you building a house?”
There’s also an army of “stoopid” chickens, “several” unicorns and, wait for it, “forbidden” bacon on offer.
Gilbert had better be careful though. A drunk leprechaun? The people of Ireland are already up in arms after Rockstar called the local rummy in Red Dead Redemption “Irish.” Apparently.
DeathSpank will be released on XBL and PSN this summer.
