Take Two have announced that since its release back in May, Red Dead Redemption has shifted over 5 million copies worldwide.

On top of RDR’s success, the publisher also added that GTA IV has now sold over 17 million units worldwide since its release back in 2008.

The company has seen a strong second quarter due to Bioshock 2 and GTA IV additional content and it’s looking like Red Dead Redemption will continue their successful run into quarter 3. Quarter 4 for Take Two is also packed with titles such as Mafia II, Sid Meier’s Civilization V, NBA 2K11 and L.A Noire.

Max Payne 3 has been delayed into 2011′s fiscal year, meaning we won’t see it until after October 31st, 2010.
