How good Move will finally be will be down to its games line up. You can have the greatest technology in the world but you’ll still need something decent to play.

We’ve known about some of the games for a while now and more have slipped out since yesterday, like Heavy Rain.

Sony issued a full list of Move compatible games this morning – they will either be Move enabled from launch or will receive a free patch. It’s not clear which region the release dates are for, but the list is below.

September 2010

  • Sports Champions
  • EyePet
  • Kung Fu Rider
  • Start the Party!
  • Echochrome 2 (PSN)
  • Tumble (PSN)
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11
  • Toy Story 3: The Video Game
  • The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest
  • Brunswick Pro Bowling
  • Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
  • Time Crisis: Razing Storm
  • R.U.S.E.

October 2010

  • Hustle Kings
  • Pain! (PSN)
  • TV SuperStars
  • The Fight: Lights Outâ„¢
  • The Shoot
  • High Velocity Bowling (PSN)
  • Heavy Rain
  • Kung-Fu Live
  • NBA 2K11

November 2010

  • The Sly Collection
  • SingStar Dance
  • LittleBigPlanet 2
  • Deadliest Catch: Sea of Chaos
  • Tron Evolution

Fall 2010

  • Beat Sketcher (PSN)
  • SOCOM 4
  • John Daly’s ProStroke Golf
  • Racquet Sports

2011

  • Sorcery
  • Heroes on the Move
  • Killzone 3

There are some noticeable absentees from the list, like EA Sports Active 2, but it’s enough for me to be one of the first in the queue come launch day.

  1. move is now available on amazon uk for pre-order. £38.88 for just one controller. pricey!

    • Play has the controller at £39.99 with the subcontroller at £29.99. Looks great but quite pricey indeed.

      • You can use a solitary Move controller, so the entry price is at the top end of acceptable… just (IMO).

But quite a few games like the much talked about The Fight and Sports Champions works best if you’ve got a Move in each hand

So when you double up, it soon starts to add up. Especially if you then want to go multiplayer

      • These best be holding pages with unconfirmed pricing – if SCEE decide to screw UK consumers with this I will NOT be buying it, no matter how good I think it could be…

Look at the US pricing of Move, now look at the US pricing of a DualShock 3, a PS Eye, the official Blu-ray remote, etc.

Using a direct comparison to the US pricing of the same official peripherals it’s reasonable to assume that the actual pricing in the UK based on established peripheral pricing history SHOULD be around £29.99 for the Move controller (cheaper than a DS3) and £17.99 for the Subcontroller (same price as the Blu-ray remote).

Anything more than this and I will be very annoyed and disappointed with SCEE. Even the Euro pricing (which is usually higher compared to US/UK pricing anyway) has the Move controller at less than they pay for a DualShock 3. In the UK DS3′s cost £35 so Move needs to cost less then this otherwise SCEE are taking the piss when it comes to UK pricing. As for the Sub, from a manufacturing point of view comparing it to the cost of the £18 Blu-ray remote or Official headset is about right, it’s HALF a DualShock 3 that uses a fraction of the raw materials to produce, valuing it at just £5 less than a FULL DualShock 3 is ludicrous!

SCEE need to get their arses in gear and confirm the UK pricing…

      • everyone knows I think the pricing is a piss-take, I was just self-moderating my comments so as not to anger the #SonyDoNoWrong amongst us

      • I was expecting a RRP of £35 for a Move controller and £20 for a sub which would put it at the same launch prices as the Wiimote and nunchuck were.

      • Ouch! For me, a Move and Sub should be £50 all in. I think those initial prices have actually priced me out of wanting one.

      • Silly question but does us controllers work on uk ps3′s. If sowhy don’t you buy move from us and bring home?

  4. hope Time crises comes with a gun add-on, i might get it as iv been after a gun game

    • There is a Move gun adapater for Time Crisis. I think it’s about £15

    • Sony have launched an official attachment, looks great*

      *Not really

      • I think it looks pretty good.

      • Looks good, much better than crappy Wii accessories

      • Its actually not allowed to look that good because if it looks too good it could be miscontrued as a real weapon. Honestly, I remember a story about when they borught out that bright orange gun and they did say it had to be bright Orange because people were using toy guns in crimes. Its actually law now that all gun shaped toy/computer accessories have to be non-gun coloured

That’s a pretty interesting fact. I never knew that, but it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for enlightening me. :)

    • yeh in the ea conference they wer keen to show of kinect and the wii but not move

      • Did you not watch the EA conference?
It showed all three systems using EA sports active.

    • It’s come with a heart monitor. It will still require a control to track what you’re doing.

  6. I would buy a cap with beer-hold… err, Move-holders. To get precise head-tracking for camera control in driving (GT5!), flight-, or many other games.

Here is hoping that developers add some kind of head tracking with it. Using TrackIR in Operation Flashpoint/Armed Assault or flight/driving simulations is awesome, I want that on PS3!

  7. Dead Space Extraction as well!

    • As far as I’m aware thats onlt available in the Dead Space 2 special edition pack. I don’t think they’ve announced a stand alone release yet.

  8. I was surprisingly interested in Sorcery when I saw the demo. It was very precise, quick and easy to use. Other move games I’m interested in are the bowling games [as I like bowling myself, and even if they are not very good I'll give it them games the benefit of the doubt], Resi 5, tiger woods, Heroes on the Move [due to the inclusion of a few fave characters of mine] and last but not least heavy rain. As for the shooters and strategy games amongst the list I would have to try it out or at least see it in action before liking it or not.

    • Me too, I would like them to maybe make the main character look a bit cooler but it’s pretty good (albeit cheesy) looking.

  9. Why Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition and not the Normal edition as well?

  10. SO! to get the best out of move and experience you are going to need the following:

    Move Controller x 2
    Move Sub Controller thingy x1

    Is that right?

    • no, two times both i think
      like wiiMote and nunchuck

      • That would be for 2 players though right? but am i right in guessing that some games are better to play with 2 Move controllers or am i talking complete bollx?
