Sony’s PlayStation Move press release mentions two official Move accessories. A charging station and a shooting attachment.  Okay, so now you are thinking that the shooting attachment will just be a cheap, anonymous plastic Wii Zapper type affair.  Well you would be wrong:

Here is the descriptive text from the press release for the two accessories.

PlayStation Move charging station

By utilizing the “charging station,” users will be able to charge up to two PlayStation Move controllers, motion controller or the navigation controller, at once without having to connect them to the PS3 system. The “charging station” will become available concurrently with the motion controller launch in each region at a RRP of €29.99, US$29.99 and 2,480 yen (including tax), respectively.

PlayStation Move shooting attachment

The “shooting attachment,” designed to place the PlayStation Move motion controller horizontally, will allow players to hold the motion controller as if they are holding a gun and to easily aim at an in-game target. The trigger on the attachment is interlocked with the motion controller T button and will enable users to intuitively play the game, not only limited to shooting games but also on games that may require precise button input and control. It will deliver immersive gameplay and will work perfectly with software titles like The Shoot!*3 by SCE and Time Crises: Razing Storm by Bandai Namco Games Inc. which is expected to support the attachment. The “shooting attachment” will become available starting this fall in each region at a RRP of €14.99, US$19.99 and 1,480 yen (including tax), respectively.

  1. What, no Shotgun attachment? And where’s my sniper rifle!? I really can’t wait for the gold club one though. It’ll be like you’re actually playing golf.

  3. need a rifle option that includes the sub controller, one with a layout like that imaginary one from the move video, overlaid on the guy playing the fps.

    • Yea, it needs to have an optional stock because I don’t know why, but playing Kz3 or SOCOM 4 without a stock just doesn’t seem right.

      • Ill be happy if it has some sort of weight to it, it will be a bit crapo if it is just a light piece of plastic, maybe I could open it up and clue some lead shot into the handle?!

    • my thoughts exactly..
or with some kind of choice between colours maybe
who knows they might still do that or perhaps im just being picky, after all i doubt i’d bother with it unless for some reason duck hunt made a return, in that case a big orange gun (so many childhood memories) would be a necessity :D

    • They will stay away from dark colours for it so that it looks obviously like a toy. Toy guns have to look like toys these days so you don’t (or at least are less likely to) get shot by the police carrying them home.

  9. yeah! Just what i was after when the release Time Crisis!

Just need a bundle now at a good price, and im sold!

    • The Time crisis game looks immense.
Online multiplayer for the first time too; with up to 8 online, and a fully destructible environment.
I was unsure about purchasing the motion controllers, etc, but just because they have time-crisis, I’m sold! The gun attachment looks amazing, and comfortable and easy to use.

      • Me too I live Time Crisis, everytime I see one I have to play it!

  10. Remember in old cartoons when they pulled the trigger on a laser gun it would charge up for a split second before firing ? That charge made a little ball on the front of the gun …. :D
