21I still can’t get used to these Wednesday updates, they always make me believe we’re a day nearer the weekend than we actually are. Anyway, it is update day and with it comes the usual host of games, demos, add-on content, special offers and PSP stuff.
Picks of the week include the the release of The Secret Of Monkey Island, which earned a spiffing 9/10 in our review, and a huge range of SEGA discounts thanks to Sonic’s 19th birthday.
Elsewhere there is the Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Lost Planet 2 dlc and a special price reduction on Warhawk’s Fallen Star pack in preparation for a forthcoming official tournament.
(Available until the 7th of July)

Agreed. If solely for Requiem for a Dying Song, personally. Love FM.

Is it the old one from the PC in days of yore or another crappy new one like the demo I played last week?

A proper look reveals some absolute bargains – Stardust Portable and PJ Monsters for PSP, the Encore pack for £1.19, all instant buys.
For anyone who hasn’t played them yet, Mahjongg Artefacts 2 for the PSP is really good (much better than the PS3 one) and easily worth the £1.74. But avoid Puzzlegeddon, it’s terrible.

Thanks I will ignore Puzzlegeddon but I don’t know if I could play Mahjongg unless there was tutorial…

Mahjongg is great on the PSP, this is a really good version and it’s got an ‘easy’ mode which only highlights the valid tiles. Get it.

Eh? Mahjong Artefacts is better than Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom? errmm……NO.

The PSN has received a bumper pack of reduced price SEGA DLC, but Xbox live gets Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Sonic & Knuckles reduced
Their absence on the PSN has gone from baffling to annoying

Just get the Mega Drive Collection. It’s dirt cheap pretty much everywhere in Ireland, surely the same in UK?

Yeah had it on rental, but would prefer it on the HDD and there’s only Sonic 1 & 2 on there, rather than all 4 good ones

I have it and it has 6 Sonic games: Sonic 1,2,3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3d Blast, and Sonic Spinball. Oh, and Mean Bean Machine.

Would be better installed, for me.

Fair enough. But we’d probably pay way more for the privilege. I could easily see €5 each being charged for them, when I bought the blu-ray of 40 games for €12 new.

i think the name of the guitar hero 5 track pack is quite fitting :)

I was actually thinking the exact same thing when I read it :P

I haven’t seen anything on the store for a while that I’ve really wanted. Saying that, I think I might give Blue Toad Murder Files a try if its only 99p.

They (Sony) missed the Warhawk Fallen Star DLC being reduced to £1.59 until July 6th to mark the DLC tournament being held from 1st to the 5th.
Since I’ve got none of the DLC and I love jetpacks in games I’ll be getting that and the Blue Toad Episode 1 offer.

You’ve got none of the DLC?
The bundle of all 3 has been relatively cheap for a long time and the maps and the APC are awesome.
I’m in two minds about jetpacks, they do add an element of fun to the games when they come up in the rotations, but… errm perhaps it just interferes with my normal game

Oh I LOVE the Warhawk jetpacks. OK I’m crap at actually flying them, but they’re great for a boost of speed when you’re running around. And although I’m crap in Warhawks too, dogfighting through the Tau Crater map gives a great Return of the Jedi feel…

Yup none….I was going to buy the triple pack a while back but since I’ve barely played the original game so far I couldn’t justify it with money being tight and all…

£5.99 for a mini, never expected to pay that much for any mini.
