Did anyone get a full house?

The answer is that no one got a full house. Some of you have been keeping track yourselves so know your individual scores, but not how well you fared compared to all the other TSAers who entered.  You are about to find out but first we need to hand out some kudos and points to the luckiest most prescient among you.

The award of Best E3-Guesser of 2010 and 300 TSA Points go to Seaninio who got nine of his twelve picks right.  Congrats also to Mason_Mk, ProjectJAY and yogh_wayne who all got eight correct.  It took a visit to Random.org to determine which of those three got the nominal second and third places.  Its decision was that 200 TSA points go to yogh_wayne with ProjectJAY receiving 100.

Here is the full run down of entrants and the number of hits they scored.  See yesterday’s staff results post for the list of hits and misses.  Thanks to all those who played.

      • You never seen a golf leaderboard before mate? Or any over leaderboard for that matter? 4 people did better than him, which puts him in 5th, not 3rd.

      • This isn’t golf? the way I was doing it was that Seaninio was first, all those with 8 are joint second and all those with 7 including Pemberton_ came 3rd, but to be honest it really doesn’t matter, I understand how golf scoring works I just didn’t do it that way.

      • But every leaderboard in the history of leaderboards has operated like i said. I’ve never in my life seen a leaderboard work like you describe it. Like you say it really doesn’t matter, but right now i’m seriously Pissed about that fucking shit linesman’s decision. Tosser.

        Standard competition ranking (“1224″ ranking):
If A ranks ahead of B and C (which compare equal) which are both ranked ahead of D, then A gets ranking number 1 (“first”), B gets ranking number 2 (“joint second”), C also gets ranking number 2 (“joint second”) and D gets ranking number 4 (“fourth”). In this case, nobody would get ranking number 3 (“third”) and that would be left as a gap.
        .
        Modified competition ranking (“1334″ ranking):
If A ranks ahead of B and C (which compare equal) which are both ranked ahead of D, then A gets ranking number 1 (“first”), B gets ranking number 3 (“joint third”), C also gets ranking number 3 (“joint third”) and D gets ranking number 4 (“fourth”). In this case, nobody would get ranking number 2 (“second”) and that would be left as a gap.
        .
I don’t think you have actually seen “every” leaderboard in the history of leaderboards, tonycawley. :P

      • Oh, forgot:
        Dense ranking (“1223″ ranking):
If A ranks ahead of B and C (which compare equal) which are both ranked ahead of D, then A gets ranking number 1 (“first”), B gets ranking number 2 (“joint second”), C also gets ranking number 2 (“joint second”) and D gets ranking number 3 (“third”).
I think this is the system he referred to.

      • Kerash. 1 that is the system he was referring to. 2 it may be on wikipedia, but as we all know, that means nothing. Find me any leaderboard, ever produced for anything where that system applies. 3 no i haven’t seen every leaderboard ever in the history of leaderboards but i’ve seen enough to know how they work. Seriously i could put an article on wikipedia saying i’m jesus if i wanted.

      • Now hand me my damn medal! :D
Wiki might not always be 100% accurate but I would take their info over anything I would read on a video gaming comment section. ;)

    • You’re welcome. But it is the community that makes these a success and worth running. If it was not for your collective involvement there would be no point in taking the time to do these kinds of things. So thanks for making our efforts worthwhile.
