Platinum Games’ sci-fi action title – Vanquish – has been given a release date of October 19th for the US and October 22nd for the UK. The game has impressed many critics, who describe the gameplay as a mix of Gears of War with a hint of Lost Planet – sounds like an interesting recipe!

As is the norm these days, customers who pre-order the game from selected stores will receive exclusive access to a three-weapon pack that can be downloaded via Xbox LIVE and PSN on release day.  The pack contains the following;

  • Boost Machine Gun
  • Anti-Armor Pistol
  • Laser Cannon

Sounds delightful – combining ‘Boost’ and ‘Machine Gun’ sounds like every bullet-heads’ dream!

  1. Too many games out in october and november. Getting silly now. Can’t possibly afford them all. The whole quiet summer then ridiculous winter thing does my nut. People don’t want 10 quality games all released at the same time, and people do still play games in the summer, just maybe not as much. Suppose we’ve done ok this time, there have been a few recently that are worth buying, but still a quiet time when compared to pre-christmas. I do understand their reasoning for it, but it’s still silly. I’m sure a lot of mediocre games would sell more if they were released during the quiet summer months that getting released amidst all the big hitters.

    • yes and no really… last year was annoying as every one was trying to release there game outside of the MW2 window. so delays. I would rather dev’s produce a great game and release it when its ready and not dodge other titles for fear of loosing sales. Also if they didn’t all make bloody FPS all the time, then the crowd of FPS lovers wouldn’t need to pick which FPS they are going to buy each month and pick them up all year round.

  2. So, Fallout NV, MGSR, Blazblue CS or this, hrm.

    • Mgsr fallout nv and gt5 for definite for me this year, not sure on assassin’s creed: brotherhood date but i want that too and certainly grabbing sonic 4 and dragon age 2 (i have bought everything dragon age since release so i ain’t stopping now lol

      • I totally forgot about those as well. D: God dammit, I need a job.

    • BlazBlue CS, RDR, MGSR for me :D

  3. Was interested in this at first but then I saw some gameplay

    • me too, plus all the other games……
