Not ones to rest on their laurels, Heavy Rain studio Quantic Dream are reportedly working on not one but two new projects. Logic suggests one is Horizon, despite Monsieur Cage recently coming out and declaring ignorance of such a title existing, perhaps taking a page out of what we like to call “The David Jaffe Playbook of Misdirection.”

It’s hardly peculiar that a studio would have multiple projects concurrently in development, it is interesting to note, however, that the new titles (whatever they might be) are described as being “very different” to one another. Cage states to Examiner:

“We currently work on two very different projects. After the success of Heavy Rain, we continue to explore how we can go further with interactive drama, working on emotion and interactive storytelling for a mature audience, but with a very different story and a different approach. I think that people who enjoyed Heavy Rain will be surprised by what we prepare. Quantic Dream also explores how to use what we learned about emotion on Heavy Rain in very different types of experiences.”

You know what that means. Yep – Activision have got to them and they’re obviously working on a new Call of Duty game. Punctuated with the heartwrenching decisions of a disillusioned vet home from the war (pick a war, any war will do), you’ll be faced with the ultimate question: how far would you go for Captain Price?
