26Upcoming game Mafia II will be getting PlayStation 3 exclusive DLC in the form of ‘The Betrayal of Jimmy’. Anyone purchasing the game new will get a voucher to redeem via the PSN, those buying it second hand will have to fork out the equivalent of $9.99.
This pack, obviously aimed at stemming the trade-in market, features assassinations and ‘vehicle based objectives’ which is posh way of saying ‘driving bits’. The second DLC pack will be available on XBox and PS3 and is confusingly titled ‘Jimmy’s Vendetta’, quite how he has a vendetta after being assassinated is not clear.
Maybe it’s a character assassination, perhaps someone pops round to his house and criticises his soft furnishings. Check out the new trailer below.

I’m guessing you will use that tagline for every Mafia 2 story you possibly can, probably used it for Godfather 2 as well ;)
This seems like a much better way of trying to combat the second-hand market, using game add-ons rather than things that are key to the game like in Skate 3.

woo exclusive’s (totally ignoring the lara croft hypocrisy) gota love ps3 exclusive’s there like smiles from pretty girls, she was just being nice and it doesn’t mean anything but it still feels good (stop hogging all my smiles xbox you jumped up calculator)

It’s kinda rare these days that the PS3 have exclusives on DLC…? Microsoft seems to spend allot of money in making sure they get any exlclusives, or timed ones.
Gonna get this on day one though. The games looks really cool.

I don’t care if games are exclusive but I hate exclusive DLC. It’s nothing more than a middle finger to those who bought the “wrong” console. If you went to the trouble to develop a game for multiple systems why release DLC for just one? I know the companys pay for the exclusives so I’m sure developers leap on the chamce for a bigger payday but as a customer I don’t care, I just see the end result.
Just to be clear I’m a PS3 owner and will get to play the exclusive Mafia II DLC but I resented it when GTA4 and Fallout 3 got DLC while PS3 owners were left out in the cold for a long time, so fair’s fair and my complaint should be valid both ways even if this particular circumstance doesn’t affect me negatively.

Nice little boost for PS3 owners but even if the 360 was getting the content I would still be purchasing this (personally much anticipated) title on PS3 as I do with every multi-format game, timed exclusives, delays, exclusive content or otherwise.
