Is anyone else as ridiculously excited as I am about Marvel vs. Capcom 3?  Whilst many claimed (and will continue to claim) that Super Street Fighter 4 is the pinnacle of 2D fighting games, MVC3 just appeals to me one hundred times more.  The announcement of some of the game’s playable characters has done nothing to cool my jets.

The big news is that – according to Marvel.com – Thor and Amaterasu (from Okami) will be stepping up to slap each other seven shades of purple, and misfits Dr. Doom, Chun-Li, Super Skrull and Trish (from Devil May Cry) were all revealed by Capcom yesterday.

Check out the screenshots and then sit back and wait patiently for the game’s release.
