Announced at E3 and promptly lost in the digital landslide that comes which such an event, Konami will publish the Rebellion developed NeverDead.

A third-person action title with more than a dollop of tongue-in-cheek humour, NeverDead follows an immortal hero charged with saving the world from a demonic plague.

Though developed by Aliens Vs. Predator’s Rebellion, Konami’s influence has already found its way into the game. Martin Schneider, European Marketing and PR Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, explains:

“For NEVERDEAD, we‘ve introduced some truly exciting new forms of gameplay and sword fighting, including a unique healing mechanism originally designed and conceived by former members of Kojima Productions. Their contributions, and those of the development team, have helped forge a great new action IP to add to Konami’s vast lineup.”

Here’s the E3 trailer to whet your appetite for Gamescom where, as PS3 Center reports, a new trailer will be on show.

  1. Hmm… The part where this guy’s head popped off looked pretty cheap but the gameplay looks like it could be fun.

    • No, they’re artificial computer-animated characters, so they’ll stay about the same age.
