Naughty Dog has confirmed that the Uncharted 2 title update – 1.09 – will go live today at approximately 6pm UK time. The update includes the following;

Naughty Dog will also be issuing a LiveData update that will rescale Medal cash awards in Objective games only. For matches which fall under the Objective modes, cash for individual and kill-based medals have been decreased in value, while cash for Objective based medals have been increased as follows:

I don’t think there is a movie being made. There were rumours a good while ago but it isn’t happening as of yet.

And after spending time downloading the patch, players can look forward to a 10min syncing procedure, unless they’ve played in the last few days.
All seems pretty minor and perhaps could of been delivered over the sync procedure

Loads thanks, but if you’re happy with a game that takes the longest known to all of mankind just to get in to multiplayer, fine.

The “live data syncing” issue is a pain in the hoop. That said, it’s only once in a while that it’s needed. Usually after an update. When I see it I go read a book or something. It can take forever.

Yeah, but apparently its alright if you play it every day or so, but it’s not helped that once that’s out the way the matchmaking can be hit & miss as well

played it yesterday and it took me forever to actually get into multiplayer and then even longer to find a match

Love what they’ve done to the objective medals, it never was very rewarding doing what you were supposed to. Other than that, not much to celebrate over.

Good to see the objective medal cash rewards being rebalanced a bit.
I’ve never come across a “super throw” of the treasure in plunder. Does anyone have any idea what that is?

Brilliant changes to elimination kill money and to the objective medals, I’ve been hoping for these exact changes for a while. Although $4,000 for captured in plunder?? I will be at level 60 in no time mwahaha

Yay! This looks like it’s fixing a ton of stuff again. Hopefully we’ll finally be able to actually play Plunder too, instead of TDM with treasure…

I’ve been playing this a lot recently with a few mates, after never giving it much of a chance, and I have to say it’s one of the best online games I’ve ever played. The maps are varied and a great size, and the game modes are brilliant (The feeling of capturing the treasure after a sweeping Barcelona-esque move across the map can’t be matched on any other online game IMO)
Even when first connecting it only took about 20 minutes for me, so I wasn’t at all bothered by that. I guess I left it this long to start playing it because I didn’t want to spoil the incredible single player by leaving with memories of a shoddily put together online. My fears were unwarranted however and I can see myself playing this a hell of a lot from now on.

Meh. I gave up on Uncharted 2 when they released patch 1.05 (or was it 1.06?).
How people say it’s one of the best multiplayer games is beyond me.

So long as someone’s enjoying it shouldn’t matter.
