The guys over at the Official US PlayStation blog have just posted up a new LittleBigPlanet 2 video showcasing the game’s story mode. Entitled “Adventure Trailer”, check out Sackboy and friends as they go up against “a mysterious and terrible evil, The Negativitron” who just so happens to be “out to destroy Craft World.” Yikes!
Those bounce pads look absolutely joyous. As does the grappling hook, the Sack-bots, the power gloves … you get the idea …

The Bunker 2?
Yes please. Though it was hard, I loved that level.

ah the wheel of death! brings back many painful memories! easily the hardest part in the game, but oh so much fun. It’s good to see the single player is going ot be be sweet, as I’ve only really being thinking about the cool games/levels everyone else is going to make

I thought the first LBP was pretty good. Didn’t really expect much of it but I found it quite enjoyable. This looks so much better though. Would have liked to see it stay as a proper platformer though.

Yeah, I just want a great PS3 platformer. Never really got into the level-creation-aspect of the first one.

Mother of God; all creatures great and small. I feel like they’re on the verge of making all other games redundant! Hahaha!
Andy…I’ve already started writing your eulogy as you’ll be AWOL when this comes out.

GT5 comes out like the weeks before.. I think many people will be quitting their jobs, leaving their wives/girlfriends/boyfriends and becoming morbidly obese playing those two games alone.
It’s a good year to be a PS3 owner :)

The Creatinator sounds like something invented by Dr. Doofenshmirtz on the awesome Phineas & Ferb. Somebody at Media Molecule must watch Disney channel

I hope this game is better than the first Little Big Planet. Man that game was rubbish. The age rating should have said ‘suitable for 3 year olds only’ not 3+ .

Last year my four year old nephew couldn’t get past the first level because he couldn’t figure out how to flip the sticker on the King’s foot. In other words: there’s a flaw in your logic.

Your opinion is thankfully in a shockingly small minority but at least you won’t be wasting your money on the sequel. It basically sounds like the game-type/genre isn’t for you. Which is fair enough.

oh no, I like creating levels, and the idea of creating your own levels, and in LBP2 your own games – the game is just too childish for me. I can’t stand it. For example, in the video with the small children cheering, ‘awwing’ etc, surely that must make you even slightly embarrassed to be playing a game clearly aimed at young children.
Anyway, that’s my opinion.

I don’t consider this game to be aimed at children one bit. I think they’ve built a game that everyone (of all ages) can sit down and enjoy. Sure, children of age four and upwards are loving it up so are grown-ups like me. MM knew this when the devs were having so much fun on-stage at E3 a few years back.
Every adult I’ve ever shown this to has loved it. Then again I’ve shown it to friends/mates/etc, and perhaps they have more of the child in them than yourself (no offence intended, for a moment) as we’re all very different creatures sometimes.
I’m struggling to think of another reason but it’s good to deliberate. :-)

A game doesn’t need to be macho and gung-ho to be good. It’s like Pixar films. They are made to be enjoyed by everyone – not just children. They don’t have a “target audience”. It’s the same with LBP. I am certain that there are many, many more adults looking forward to LBP 2 than there are children. Why anyone would be embarrassed playing it, I have no idea.

Why would anyone be embarrassed to play a game that got consistently high scores and rave reviews? I see your point though Stingraz, but I still love the game!
