On Friday, we bought you news that the latest entry in the seemingly never-ending Tony Hawk franchise would be branching out from the streets to the snow, and today Activision have released the first batch of screenshots for the game.
From the screens, it looks like the same old Hawk, but this time with a little more cartoony and cel-shaded style, as well as a promotional agreement with sportswear brand Volcom. Activision also confirmed that pro skaters Geoff Rowley and David Gonzalez will be in the game.
Tony Hawk: Shred will be out later this year.

I hope this is actually a good game.
Not that is likely.
I also hope they give you the option to play with a standard control or the board that came with ride.

from friday’s article:
The upcoming game will also support the same skateboard peripheral as last year’s critical failure Tony Hawk: Ride but, tellingly, won’t require it

This just looks like a Wii game to me. I really just wish they’d port the original 4 THPS games and re-release them with trophies/achievements on the PSN/Live.

I’d be content with just THPS 2.

the fun of playing THPS 2 on the iPhone proves that the old games have life still in the system. So a Port or re-release to PSN would be amazing. :)

Every time there is a news article about this I am going to write an optimistic comment.
This game will suck :D

That is a poor example of an optimistic comment – but a great example of a realistic comment! ;)

I’m not sure if that art style is good or hideous, but I very much doubt I’ll be getting the game anyway.
