MK Arcade Compilation Outed?

22

Kompilation surely?

Published: 13:29, 16/08/2010 by Dan Lee.

This little rumour has been circulating for a while now.  A few weeks ago it was brought up that a German games retailer was listing a ‘Mortal Kombat Compilation’ – but despite scouring the entire site, I couldn’t find any mention of it.  The game seems to have resurfaced though, as ShopTo have had it listed for a release on October 12th 2010 for the PS3, with a recommended retail price of £19.99.

According to ShopTo the compilation will feature the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat, all in HD.  Unfortunately the listing has now been removed, although the box art remains.

I’m thrilled – not only were these three MK games solid fighters, but at long last I have a genuine reason to insert some MK phrases into an article!

“Toasty!”

  2. This is definitely coming out. Personally I was never a fan so I’m not that bothered. Maybe if they came out for £7 each as HD PSN downloads I might pick one up, but I’ll at least wait until this halves in price before considering it.

    • Bit to much isn’t it?

  3. I bought MK2 as one of my first PSN purchases and almost immediately regretted it. It did not age well and the arcade difficulty was pretty unforgiving.
An HD remake might be ok though
