14As the flood of media continues from Gamescom, we have a shiny new LittleBigPlanet 2 trailer for you.
The trailer highlights the new story mode in the game, which sees Sackboy as defender of the land as “a negative force of evil stirs on the horizon”, as well as some of the new create features in the sequel. Actors can record your movements and play them back (for example dancing), cameras can be set up for unique and dramatic angles for your levels and cutscenes, and there’s even a brief glimpse in the trailer of what looks like a pretty heavy duty audio creation tool for adding your very own custom music to your creations.
Hopefully we’ll hear about the EU special edition of the game before the week is through as well.

The way they’ve expanded LBP in this just boggles my mind. So much that wasn’t in the first one yet stuff I never would have been able to imagine was missing when I was playing that

i think i remember reading that sony and mm are in a contract agreement or it became a 1st party developer or something along those lines (please correct if wrong)

Yeah SONY bought MediaMolecule, they made a very public announcement about it. Probably a smart move by the looks of LBP2.

I’m glad we’re gonna be able to create our own storylines and stuff. I’ve tried making levels with storylines since like forever but could never get the dialogue thing right. Hopefully LBP2 is gonna make everything easier.
