We’re a touch slow with this one but it’s not our fault. We’ve been listening to so much new Vidzone stuff that we haven’t had time to tell you about it. Blame them, pesky music video providers.
So here it is, a massive update to Vidzone which promises to make the PlayStation 3 music app start up “exceptionally faster” and process the regular content refreshed quicker too. They’ve also added the ability to regulate whether you get low, medium or high quality videos so you have more control over your banwidth use if you’re on a limited service.
That’s not all. Vidzone have secured a deal with EMI to allow the music industry giant’s massive catalogue of artists to be present on the service. This gives us access to artists like Chemical Brothers, David Bowie, Daft Punk and Iron Maiden as well as Coldplay, Katy Perry and Kylie – if that’s more your cup of tea.
Vidzone continues to be a fantastic service for the PlayStation 3 and they continue to listen to feedback and support it in a very meaningful way. We’d like to say a big congratulations on the EMI deal and huge thank you for continuing to make improvements to the free application.

Haha that video is sick, I can’t resist but stop what I’m doing to watch it every time it comes on TV.

I imagine Sony will start trying to get labels to do videos in 3D too, and then have Vidzone in 3D.
KP’s California Gurls would be….. interesting, to say the least ;P

And yet they still don’t have the awesome Muse? Still a good thing but would be better with Muse

Really, you only tolerate ONE band?… and it’s Muse?

No, I tolerate a fair amount of bands, but muse is easily my favourite. Most of them aren’t on this, so I’ll pass. I just buy mine off iTunes and put them on my hard drive via a memory stick anyway :)

They don’t have Muse because as far as i can tell Muse are part of Warner Music Group who don’t really approve of free music streaming.

Peter: how dare you lump in Coldplay and Katy Perry so glibly into one category like that.
