Gears Of War Anvil Gate Novel Gets Release Date

I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m a huge fan of books linked to games – so I’m pretty damn happy that the latest Gears of War novel, titled Gears Of War Anvil Gate, has been given a release date of August 31st.
It is being written by Karen Traviss – the author behind the previous Gears of War books, Aspho Fields and Jacinto’s Remnant.
Gears of War 2 spoiler alert below!
Anvil Gate bridges the gap between the Gears of War 2 and 3 games – with the Locust Horde seemingly eliminated at the end of Gears of War 2, the survivors of Jacinto are trying to return to normal life. Marcus Fenix and company are defending the last remaining survivors from gangs of raiding pirates when the Locust re-emerge – we’re guessing they aren’t after a cup of sugar or a chat about Big Brother.

I really liked the two first books and I will definatly buy this one as well.
BTW Karen Traviss and her Republican commando series is a good as well.
