39Anyone near Oregon, US? You know the Bestbuy there? Yeah? The one in that massive big state. Get in it, and have a go on the Gran Turismo 5 demo kiosk that’s apparently installed in one of the retail stores.
In all seriousness, it looks like Sony are rolling out demo stations for their biggest game of the year, and according to eye witness reports the version on display features around 15 cars (including an Impreza rally car and a #24 NASCAR car) and five tracks, one of which is the rather exciting day-night cycling rally course we’ve seen in demo videos.
If you’re reading the above linked thread on the US PlayStation Forums, be warned that the first four pages are people doubting that the demo kiosk exists. After that, starting about here, posters start to upload some photos – like this one that shows the size of the demo – 3GB.
Sadly, given the status of the thread in question (it’s now closed) and the fact that most of the seven pages was back and forth flaming and name calling, whether or not the whole thing exists is anyone’s guess. If it does, let’s hope the demo rolls out to some more stores soon and we get some more photos.

i dont, any demo will just get picked apart for months on end, then people will start a back and fourth of news storeys saying it was cut down, some physic were left out ect ect. Id rather just have the game from fresh and read only the news storeys on the finished game

id say the games been gold for a few months now. GT is a console seller, so holding onto it for christmas release is the way to go for the PS3. I knew it would always come out at that time of year, but just seemed odd Sony kept giving daft dates to begin with…
Im looking forward to this, just need to get a wheel with it

It probably is true, Sony is driving around with a truck full of demo stations over here in Holland.

Sadly I missed it myself, but a good friend visited the “GT5 in full 3D” lorry at Festival Square, Edinburgh, Friday – apparently it was pretty special & I reckon it’ll be touring the UK now.
