96Sony has announced the release of Firmware Update 3.42 for the PS3. They haven’t gone in to much detail as to what the update actually does – with SCEA’s John Koller saying the following on the US PlayStation Blog.
“Hi everyone! A minor update to your PS3 system is now available via system software update v3.42 that includes additional security features.”
We think it’s in relation to you know what. It seems that although the EU Blog has yet to be updated, 3.42 is available in EU territories too (thanks PoolieMike).

My eyetoy hasnt been able to connect, since the update. The ps3 says there is too much power being used and says to take one device out even though the camera is the only thing connected. Do you think it could be anything to with this update?
