Community, community, community, it’s all we ever talk about here at TSA, but that’s not a bad thing, just take a look at all the competitions we have going on for you lot. The only thing I notice about all our competitions though, is that in order to win the competition, you have to beat your opponents. This one is different though, in order to win one of two £20 PSN vouchers, you have to work as a team.
Every month in the folding update we tell you how many points we’ve accumulated as a team over the past month, in August we managed 814,000 points. Our goal however is to accumulate over 1 MILLION points over 1 month.
“But how do I win”
Winning is simple, just run folding at home as much as you can submitting work units which get you points, all members points are added together over the month and if we all contribute enough and reach 1 million points over a single month, we’ll choose two folders at random and award them with a £20 PSN voucher each.
Rules/Guidelines:
New user installation
If you are not currently a member of our folding@home team you can follow one of the guides below which will help you start folding for TSA.
Please note, if you want to fold on both PS3 and PC then please use the same user name on all machines you use.
PS3 Users
PS3 users can follow our simple guide to joining our team.
PC Users
PC users can join in too by following Stanford’s Guide to installing folding@home on your PC. When you see the following screen, fill in the details as shown, replacing {username} with your TSA username.
Happy folding, and remember if you need any help in regards to anything to do with folding@home send an email to folding(at)thesixthaxis.com.

Completely agree. Top stuff, Jas-n/TSA. I might get my YLOD-repaired PS3 onto the case. It’s under YLOD-warranty after all. 8-)

Better get my PC name sorted then. Don’t know why I never joined TSA on my PC when it folds.

Good idea, I’ve not done any folding in quite a while (since the site I used to fold for shut down) but I may just start it up again as a TSA member!

FFS why does life still think I live closer to Madrid? Surely by now they could of sorted the default city to be your closest city.

if we did 687.000 in august with users out of the house on vacation (or, in my case, in the house but not folding due to omg-i’m-melting-turn-off-that-ps3 temperatures), i’m sure we’ll get to 1 million :)
