Best of Battlefield: September

10What better way to celebrate Yogdog finally reaching Level 50 in Bad Company 2 than to have a repeat of the Best of Battlefield competition from back in June? Well, obviously cake and party poppers would be one but that’s beside the point! I invited Yogdog to re-run BoB, and he was more than happy to oblige.
So on Wednesday the 29th of September at 8PM BST, BoB will make his second appearance. It will consist of two teams of up to 12 players facing off across two rounds of Rush, so that everyone gets the chance to attack and defend. After both rounds are over, each player’s scores will be added up and the person who has the highest total will be declared the winner.
In our attempts to iron out a few of the problems from last time round there will be two captains for you join using the in game party system, so that you get back into the game on the right side. Though, if BC2 decides to really go down the toilet with its networking, or other issues affect play on Wednesday, then in the interests of fairness Yogdog may decide it best to halt proceedings and try again on Thursday 30th of Sept. Fingers crossed it shouldn’t come to that.
No DLC (not even VIP DLC) is required for the event so if you own Bad Company 2 on PS3, you are eligible for entry. TSA points will be awarded based on final standings: 1st – 250 points, 2nd – 150 points and 3rd – 100 points. The added bonus being that the overall winner will also bag himself a mightily useful £20 PSN voucher.
For your chance to play in this exciting event email stefan[at]tsa2.org with your PSN ID, TSA ID and the subject line “Best of Battlefield” before 11PM on Sunday 26th of September. If there are more than 24 entrants then we will draw them randomly to get the required number.
For some practice before the competition, make sure you check out TSA Meets section and sign up for the regular BC2 meet on Sunday.
