MNR 1v1 Tournament: Semi-Final Fixtures

8My, my, how time flies, especially when you get all the results in a little early. We’re at the business end of the competition, so welcome to the Semi-Finals! Last week we had 8, and now we part ways with the losers of some already enticing match ups, and swoon over the final 4.
The results from the Quarter Finals were:
- YamsterSG (YouLikeYams) 2-1 icuyesido
- Freezebug2 0-2 MadJunkBoy
- Rocket_345 1-2 Manorhowze
- DrNate86 0-2 R1MJAW
Winners in bold.
It’s interesting to see R1MJAW and MadJunkBoy running away with it, 2-0 each. Though by all accounts I’ve heard each pairing was pretty close. So, using some dubious logic, these Semi Finals should be even more competitive!
The last draw I have to make sees two pairs battle to decide the finalists and those who will fight for 3rd place:
- MadJunkBoy vs. Manorhowze
- R1MJAW vs. YamsterSG (YouLikeYams)
The rules are the same as before: Best of 3 races; 5 laps per race; Action; Elite Speed. This time the track is “Breakwater”. (UFG track 23/28). You have until 11PM on Sunday 26th September to race. 6 days in which to get it done. If you manage to get them done sooner, then we’ll be moving right on to the finals and the fight for 3rd ahead of schedule once more.
As always, results to stefan@tsa2.org with the subject “MNR Results”, and let me know if there’s any problems.
To anyone reading this that doesn’t already know, the regular MNR meet happens every Sunday at 6PM, hosted by our friendly little MNR meet tyrant Icuyesido. Come along, and if you have a track you’d like to have played, he will make it so.

Made it to the Semi’s again, now I really wanna win it this time but I know Mjb is pretty darn good.
I wanted to avoid R1M but at this stage any race is gonna be tough.

Never senn MadJunkBoy play but if you drive like you did against me then you should put up a good fight. You beat me by 10 seconds or more in the 2 races that you won. Curse your back firing weapons

I wouldn’t say mine were particularly close races, it was quite a massacre! Good luck to the rest, it is going to be a tough final methinks!

Yeah, good luck to the four remaining, should be good matches. I have enjoyed the tournament with some great tracks chosen and close races….apart from the first round one lol.

Just had a practice go on Breakwater. I didnt realise at first but its the track that I lost the final to Jay on.

Oooh, bad times. You’ll get to the final corner and just faze out. Start seeing the replays of the final race in your head, all the while you’re losing precious seconds in this race. But apart from that, you’ll be fine :P
