F1 2010 was released on Friday, and with the Singapore Grand Prix taking place yesterday, we’ve decided to run a little Time Trial event. Marina Bay is a fantastic circuit requiring dedication and confidence as you fly round the track, only centimetres from the walls. This Time Trial is open to both PS3 and Xbox 360.
There aren’t any restrictions on what car you can use, what assists you have or what set up you choose. Just make sure it is the Marina Bay Circuit in the Dry. You will need to practice a lot, changing the set ups and finding what best suits your driving style. Then once you’re happy with your time, you need to take a picture of the end screen. If your PSN ID is different to your TSA ID, please include your TSA ID somewhere in the picture. It should look something like this:
That was a time I got on the default set-up in the Mclaren. I reckon there’s another tenth or so I could get out of that with tweaking the set up, and nailing every apex. I must warn you that the kerbs can be treacherous; it’s important to attack them, but I found running them just slightly too much caused me to instantly spin. It comes down to pure precision and 100% focus.
Once you have your picture, email it to gazza[at]tsa2.org. Put “F1 2010 Time Trial” in the subject line and in the body of your email include your lap time and your TSA ID. The competition closes Sunday 3rd October at 11:00pm and the result will be announced sometime during the week. Remember that you will be racing for a £5 Amazon gift voucher and 100 TSA points with the runners up also getting a nice helping of points; 75 for 2nd place and 50 for 3rd.
Now go and get practicing!

Gonna have to set a valid lap time first, Singapore (as you know) is a pig of a track to get right.

Ill have a go at this, but might take another miracle from the game for me to win. The game seems to like me and gave me a 1:41 at Spa in the wet when I actually got a 2:01 :D

Ah, I did wonder how you got that insane time yesterday. I was struggling to hear you on the mic.

I was struggling to hear everyone else except JamboGT (who seems to have a really good quality headset) aswell. Shame really because it is great to have banter and chat during the race.
