Last week, following on from the release of the PlayStation Move, we set you a triple combo spectacular of challenges in Sports Champions, Tumble and Flight Control HD. We didn’t get too many results in, unfortunately, to the extent that almost every person that entered won! So you really should have entered…
Even with very few entries there were some pretty competitive scores going on. So, here are the results:
Sports Champions – Table Tennis (This one is split between Full Game scores and Demo scores):
Full game:
Demo:
I’m simply aghast at how far ahead TwoJay was with the full game. Over 500 points clear of Bugsy6, who’d literally scraped past icuyesido for 2nd.
Also, some very impressive scores from both Phil_E and Drnate86 in the demo. Besting several of the Full Game players, who had an extra two points to play.
Tumble:
Just a few entries here, and all very close. Apnomis said “you need to get whoever wins this one to explain exactly how you blow up the tower properly!” Well, that would be you, Apnomis. So, you’ve got some explaining to do!
Flight Control HD:
Well clearly I suck. I didn’t manage to break past 100, let alone past 150! Justinjh’s score of 175 got him 3rd place in the global online rankings… Then he just went and bettered it, getting 186! It was a late entry for that, so he’ll just have to live with 175. My gut feeling is that he’s a real life air traffic controller. It can be the only explanation.
Congrats to TwoJay, Phil_E, Apnomis and Justinjh. Mighty results you all managed. Your’s and everyone else’s TSA Point winnings will be handed out shortly.
Keep an eye out for our other Community Team announcements soon. We recently announced the MNR 1v1 finalists, the participants for the Best of Battlefield competition, another addition in our Time Trial Challenge series and have some more comps revving up in the background.

Well done all. As I suspected, I wouldn’t have been in with a chance had I entered!

Oops, i did a go on the table tennis for 30 min when the comp was set and got a score of 2742 but forgot to send it in. Luckily it wouldn’t have won anyway :)

LOL close call! Funnily enough I suggested that whoever won that challenge should be made to explain how to do it properly as I thought I was way off pace with my score!

My arm was bloody sore after playing Table Tennis over and over – hopefully the leader boards will be updated to reflect the fact I did post a winning score so it wasn’t all in vein! ;)
I think I may go out and get the full version of Sports Champions now though, I did enjoy playing it…

Yay I won something!!!
Although I would like to point out that I got over 2000 points in the Sports Champions demo (think it was 2083ish) so should be 3rd in that too (sorry Origami_Killer!)

Oh, that was a demo score?! Sorry, I put you in the main game list (where you would’ve come 4th. Will ask Cb to do an edit.

No worries, I didn’t realise there was a separate challenge for the full game otherwise I would have specified on the e-mail.
I figured out that if you keep playing the first woman (and skipping the tutorial) you are able to play the demo over and over without needing to go through the annoying ‘buy the full game’ splash screens that you would normally get between rounds! I just kept going until I topped 2000 – hence the sore arm!

Damn, could’ve had 2nd in the table tennis challenge (with 2497).
I think I only managed 2780 in the tumble challenge and 131 in flight control.

Unfortunately, I have no way of taking pictures … and before anyone says it, no, I don’t have a mobile phone (can’t stand them, plus I have no need for one).

You should have hired a sketch artist…. I’d have accepted that just for the audacity.

*phew* all the points have been handed out now.
Phil_E did best, with a 1st, a Joint 2nd and a 3rds for a 225 point haul.
Nicely done champ ;)
