Some gameplay footage has emerged for the upcoming bug-fest ‘Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon’. It seems to be trying to shake off the ‘so bad its good’ label of the previous title – and actually looks pretty good. We pray some form of auto aim is included in the finished article though.

Bloody hell, im hoarse with chanting today, but here we go again…
EDF! EDF! EDF!…EDF! EDF! EDF!…EDF! EDF! EDF!
The ps2 incarnation was bloody brilliant (unfortunately due to a lack of 360, i’ve never played 2017) :-(

Doesn’t look bad, could be a bit repetitive after a while. I’m liking the authentic movie sci-fi sounds, the metallic groan of the robots and the hum of the crafts in particular.

I loved EDF on the PS2, but it suffered a lot of frame rate issues due to the amount on screen at once. If they put a decent co-op multiplayer online and offline into this it could be really good fun

Was I the only one who was thinking of some new Red Faction: Armageddon gameplay when I read the news? There’s also an Earth Defense Force in that game…

It Came From the Desert, remember that? They should do a new PS3 version! Huge plot, shooting massive ants, etc.
