FIFA 11 Xbox 360 Tournament

5FIFA is one of those games that enrages me to the point where I give myself a dead leg. Massively competitive online, no other game provides as many messages claiming I am a “loooooser” or that I am a “lucky b******d” or any other common insult we hear after nailing someone in an online game or facing a slim defeat.
Lucky for all Xbox owners then that we are providing a tournament to eliminate the abusive messages and for you to get down to some plain old FIFA 11 goodness with our fine community.
The set up to this tournament is pretty straight forward. 1 vs 1 straight knockout until we get to the final and 3rd place play off where it will become a best of 3 set of matches to determine the best of the best. ”What do I get for being a Football Legend?” I hear you ask. Well TSA is fronting 2100 MS points to the winner and a chunk of those lovely TSA points to add to your collection for 2nd and 3rd spot.
All you need to do to enter this competition is fire an email to lee@tsa2.org with “FIFA Xbox comp” as the subject line. This email then needs to contain your 3 preferred team choices, your LIVE ID and your TSA ID. There is one catch to this, no top league teams are allowed. No Barca, no Real Madrid, Chelsea or even Blackpool! Team choices will be at my discretion and I will try my upmost to provide you all with one of your choices.
The matches will be 5 minute halves with Extra Time and Penalties if required. You will be given plenty of time to organise and play your matches with results sent to the same email as stated above. No created players or Virtual Pros are allowed to play. If anyone experiences a disconnection then you will be required to replay your match. Any more than 2 disconnections by the same player then you will automatically forfeit your match.
Entry closure is Sunday 10th October at 11pm. Fixture and team selection will follow shortly afterwards.

UPDATE: There appears to be some confusion over what teams can be selected. We said “No top league teams are allowed”, by this we meant that no teams from any country’s top division and no international teams are allowed. Pick someone a bit different from a lower league so it’s not just the usual picks showing up. Thanks.

No, unfortunately they are still part of the Premier League. You’ll have to wait for FIFA 12.

Yeah that would’ve made sense. I picked some MLS teams with 2 1/2 stars and wasn’t allowed them because they are technically in the top flight.

Awh, if I was playing I’d wanna be Hercules C.F. I’ve been playing as them on FIFA since the 05 game release, been a fan ever since :) however, the disapointing thing is they’re now in the top spanish league so I can no longer play them to use as a team to be promoted with, maybe win the treble :)

I play Corinthians every match. It gives an awesome feeling to beat teams like madrid and stuff. Since there’s only 1 league in Brazil, this means its the top league right? I have to do quick research for an other team then…
