I can’t believe it’s been a whole week since Gran Turismo 5 was delayed, presumably due to firmware security issues. With a concrete date still not forthcoming from Sony, at least their entertainment division is happy enough to start using words like guaranteed.
That’s what the Australian Sony is saying (picked up by GTPlanet) in relation to a new advertisement pushing a top-end bundle to consumers: the pack contains a 160GB PS3, 2 lots of 3D glasses, 2 3D movies and a copy of Gran Turismo 5 alongside 4 other PS3 games, presumably PSN based.
The ‘All I Want For Christmas’ bundle seems to be available when you buy a new 3D Bravia TV, and “guarantees delivery by Christmas” which we’re assuming will include Gran Turismo 5 in the little Christmas hamper. A seriously nice package, and a great way to kickstart your 3D experience.
You can read more about Gran Turismo 5 here.

Well unfortunately it’s relevant, and what I’m sick of is Sony’s reduculous insistance to push this game back an ungoldly amount of times, just get it on the shelves for crying out loud!

@jayjay
What I’m sick of is your ridiculous whining. No one gives a shit, mate. I’d rather wait 10 years for a perfect game than a game that “might have been”.

I very much doubt they mean GT is guaranteed by Christmas. They mean they can guarantee the bundle will be delivered in time. I’m quite sure they have some small print somewhere saying that a cash alternative to any component will be offered if the item is unavailable

yea, i dont think they will give cash though. just deliver the game if and when it gets released. Nice bundle, must cost a bundle to!

Or “Bundle may be subject to change”. They guarantee it by Christmas, but they’re not guaranteed my money!

It syncs the Active shutter glasses to the screen’s refresh rate, I don’t know why it’s not built in to the Sony TVs, like it is some other makes
