TSA’s Top 100 of 2011 – #86 nail’d

Released in North America this month, European off-roaders won’t get to feel the rush of adrenaline in nail’d until February of next year.

Very much following in the spirit of Pure and the MotorStorm games, Techland’s nail’d is all dirt-bikes and ATV mayhem infused with a heavy dose of attitude and flying mud. Players will be able to steer their vehicles in mid-air, when they’re not pounding around 14 tracks to a raucous rock soundtrack. Expect songs from the likes of Rise Against, Queens of the Stone Age, Slipknot and the Backyard Babies.

We have a soft spot for the all-terrain chaos of racers that encourage people to ram each other off cliffs. We’ll see how nail’d fares against the more established of rally titles in the coming months.

Finally, and just to point out, this is the third game from a Polish developer on our list (so far). We’re not sure what’s going on over in the eastern European country, but its development scene looks to be thriving.

  1. This was an odd one. when I played it the racing was solid, but the sense of speed was weird. the scenery seemed to be moving much faster than the actual quad. still, that was a few months ago so there has been plenty of time to tweak things.

  2. I’m rather looking forward to nail’d.

    • I’m looking forward to getting Nail’d *sorry grabs coat and leaves*

      • I try not to be smutty before midday.

      • I’m not after your crown don’t worry

  3. Saw a trailer for this earlier in the week, and it looked a little too akin to Motorstorm to perk up any particular interest from me.

With regards to the Polish dev teams… is the influx of new/good games because they can get the job done on time, and at half the price of the british?

  4. Very much looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Terrible name but it looks oodles of fun potentially.
