As we start the long run up to the festive season we’re always on the lookout for a nice downloadable game to see us through the holiday evenings. It seems like the PSN store is only too happy to oblige us as this week sees the release of Crazy Taxi, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time HD and Peggle on the PSP.
Sure, most of us already own Peggle on at least one platform (four for me) but you can never have too much Peggle. As for Crazy Taxi and PoP, we’ve already played those too but a spruced up, polished version will go down quite nicely and fuel our holiday-period nostalgia quite nicely.
As we’ve seen earlier on TSA, there is DLC coming for Comet Crash as well as a track pack for DJ Hero 2 and some nice new video trailers to treat your eyes to.

PlayTV Live Chat Upgrade £6.29 *cough*

Some people are claiming that you need to purchase this to get series link. Can anyone at TSA confirm or check this out? I would have liked to see this added as a free update not something i need to pay for. I am not fussed about the chat functionality but series link and any other enhancements i am.

They confirmed on the blog a few months back that the “premium” chat upgrade would include series link. Let’s face it, no-one would buy this otherwise.

Thanks Kevling, i think i will see how i go without series link, 6.29 is a bit steep for functionality that should be included.

I haven’t used PlayTV in ages, my TV’s got Freeview HD built in (Waiting for my area to sort out the transmission), suits all my viewing needs and if I miss something I pop onto the iPlayer (or equivalent that’s also on the TV)

Anyone know if the Assassin’s Creed 2 DLC is worth having? I hear it was a bit poop.

The dlc was bigger than I thought it was going to be, and for a couple of quid each are well worth it.

hmmm its no where near as good as the single player :/ but if its going cheap its a decent few hours

I’m tempted to snap them up while they’re cheap – but it all depends on whether Brotherhood is sitting on my mat when I get home from work!

If they can put PS3 games on the store then why can’t they put PS2 games on and add more ps classics.(if possible).
not a bad update but i would prefer some demos for some new releases ie assassiains creed, the sims 3 etc.

I think they are more going the route of HD remakes for PS2 games, which is good in that you get shiny new graphics, but bad in that your choices are more limited. Definitely agree about the lack of PS1 games though, compared to the American store ours is terrible!

Because the majority of PS3′s can’t play PS2 games without the game being completely reworked digitally.

Hmm nothing for me this week apart from the free DLC for Brotherhood, which is most appreciated! Shame there are no demos, one thing I really like about XBL is that they have demos for pretty much everything that is on sale. Another cheap week for me though, which can never be a bad thing!
