New Explodemon! Trailer

Curve Studios have released a new trailer for their PSN exclusive Explodemon! Like a nostalgic pile-driving sensory overload right into your cerebral cortex, the footage highlights the title’s platforming, puzzling and all-round frenetic attributes.

We recently got our hands on Explodemon! so expect a full report shortly. Must be lost in the mail or something.

Finally, in other Curve news, check out the launch trailer for their Nintendo WiiWare exclusive Fluidity. The game has been getting some rave reviews, and if you are Wii-ified, it comes highly recommended.

    Oh dear… I can’t view youtube :M/

    • It’s a generic pose, many characters do the same thing.

  2. Played explodemon at the MCM Expo & it was ridiculously addictive!
    Good retro fun.
Entered a competition to win a copy, but i don’t win things often (in fact the only thing i won was when i was 5 & that was because my parents entered!).

  3. Can’t wait for Explodemon!

    • if it isn’t in the update tomorrow I will literally explode… heh-heh!!

  4. looks like blade kitten game play… think ill avoid

    • Ha! Our game is nothing like Blade Kitten. Just because they are both 2.5D, doesn’t mean the gameplay is the same.

Funnily enough, when we were exhibiting at MCM Expo, we were just across from the Blade Kitten stand. The guy who was manning the pods there came over to play Explodemon because he was bored with Blade Kitten (and whispered to us that he didn’t think it was any good). In the end we had to throw him off to let the public onto the pods because he didn’t want to leave. :)

      • I agree – Poles apart in gameplay & i know which one i would rather play!! :)

      • I think you should reduce the size of the HUD components by 50%. They are way too big and annoyed me while watching this. I felt like they were in the way. Srsly, a power meter does not need to be that big. Also, i think they should be closer to the edges of the screen to be even less intrusive.
        Just my opinion.

      • Noted. Thanks for your input. While the size won’t change, I think we want to do something with the HUD if we get chance. Sony TRCs force these things to be further away from the edge of the screen than we’d like, so we’d like to put player-controlled positioning in there.

      • the HUD components are pretty transparent so i cant see them posing too much of a problem size wise. however if you going to go and put player controlled positioning you may as well make the sizing player controlled to a certain degree aswell. (3 possible sizes for instance)

  5. Hmm.. Makes me think about Locoroco on pills..
    I’m in! =D

    • Yeah Fluidity did remind me of Locoroco a bit, looks good.

Last time I seen Explodemon I wasn’t too keen but that trailer was very good. Any idea of a release date?

      • We’re aiming him at mid-Jan. He’s more of a splash damage kinda guy though, not so good at pinpoint accuracy. We’ll see!

  6. I will fight a bear to play this game. And Fluidity just makes me want to buy a Wii. Damn you Curve and your infectious game-play ways!
