ModNation Racers had so much potential, but a few niggling issues held it back from greatness. It’s by no means dead and buried though, and United Front Games has been talking about the upcoming DLC.
Over the next few weeks we will be getting several pieces of DLC, with the first being the ‘Far East’ pack and career extension. This adds seven new UFG designed tracks, 10 new objectives, 35 new unlockables, and over 50 track props.
Stay tuned for further DLC information.

I bought this game day one but those load times, even after that huge update, still kill me. Great game though…Maybe it is time to revisit…

rented from lovefilm.. took less time for them to send it than it took me to install it, update and load 2 races, put it back in envelope and send back.
if it comes available as a full game download on psn for 15 quids then maybe… get media molecule to do lbp racer and then we’re talking

The first line of this article sums up my experience perfectly. I really wanted to love this game, but it just annoyed me in the end. I think the problem was that every part had something to spoil it. The load times affected almost everything, the rubber banding was far too severe and it was annoying just how much stuff was locked out of creation mode.

A brilliantly fun game with mates online, just too little too late as most have lost interest. When online waiting for the races to load you can still chat with your mates too so the loading times were never an issue for me.

I thought MNR was great. Once you got past the loading times and the sometimes dodgy matchmaking (though this was rarely a problem for me), it was a really fun little game. I still play it with mates split-screen online, and it always leads to smiles all round!

MNR is a good game but i struggle to play it without blasting some eminem into my ears at the same time (that makes anything more enjoyable)
racing games really are not my thing. i enjoy ModNation but i cant play it for too long before changing to anything else.
though personally im still waiting for MNR2 (those wandering Modbots will make driving even more havoc filled)

Had some great times at the meets, I may have to put a few more up.
