Ever since the launch of Medal of Honor, which supposedly included a Battlefield 3 beta key, we’ve been given zero details on when we can expect a formal unveiling of Battlefield 3. It seems we finally know when that’s going to happen, and it’s not too far away.
According to IGN, Battlefield 3 will be rolled out on March 1 of this year at the Game Developer’s Conference in the U.S. Hopefully they’ll be able to confirm whether or not this is still a 2011 game, and whether or not we still have a reason to keep Medal of Honor.
Other titles published by EA that are said to be appearing at GDC are: Shadows of the Damned, Alice: Madness Returns, Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, and Crysis 2.

Its the only reason I’m keeping Medal Of Honor on the shelf, the multiplayer was shocking!

Me too, once you knew to keep your head down from the 1,000′s of sniper bullets, or be one yourself!
Looking forward to the next Battlefield. Come on EA give us some details.

I agree with Turrican. The maps felt too tight for the type of gameplay and weapons balance.

I know what you mean, all I’ve seen are shiny screenshots nothing much else.
And I haven’t been grabbed by a FPS game so much, like I have with Brink. Can’t wait to get my hands on this!

Now will they demo it on PC or console, hope they’re smart enough to go for PC and save an internet uproar.

Why do PC gamers get so pissed off if a game is not showcased on their system?

They don’t, its only when something that is a quintessential PC game such as Battlefield makes sacrifices to suit the console market.
Bad Company was acceptable because it was a spin off, but BF3 is the true sequel to a previously PC only series and fans are wanting it to better previous installments. The announcement that it will be on consoles too was no surprise but it certainly was a talking point leaving many people expecting to be disappointed.
We shall wait and see.

OK, I don’t know the PC Battlefield games, but is Battlefield 3 similar to Battlefield 1943 or similar?

It’s set in modern day, but I’m sure it will retain the classic BF formula, yes.
