Drag yourself away from the GT5 Time Trial and Shatter Challenge (which finish tonight and tomorrow night), and you might notice that Sackboy is back for his second, even bigger, even more perilous, and several times as awesome adventure!
We’ve been sat in the back rooms discussing all of the brilliant ways we can try and support LBP2, and we’re going to kick things off with a nice mini game challenge, before moving on to meatier challenges in the coming weeks and months.
Many of you will already be familiar with the level, as it was featured in both the beta and the demo. I am, of course, talking about “Tower of Whoop”. You can find the level in Da Vinci’s Hideout, the first area of the story mode. It’s an off shoot from the 3rd level, “Gripple Grapple”, which is where you have to find the level key to unlock the tower. The tower is a speed run to the top as quickly as you can, collecting as as many prize bubbles as possible along the way, and learning how to make good use of the Grappling Hook. I make it sound deceptively easy, but the hard part is to chain your bubble collecting together to get some monstrous points multipliers.
Where to find “Tower of Whoop” – In the top right.
Sackbots! From the Grappling Hook to the Grabinator, LBP2 is full of new stuff, but none are as adorable and cool as the new Sackbots. With such sound reasoning, how could the prize we offer to the highest scorer be anything but a 3” tall model of a Sackbot? It couldn’t! This, along with the usual selection of TSA points to the top three entries: 100, 75 and 50, respectively.

Isn’t he adorable?
How do you win it, though? Well, all we want you to do is play this level, and get as high a score as you can. You can play it solo or in pairs, trios or even quads if you fancy it. When you think you’re happy with your score, there’s no need to take any photos. Just make sure that you’re online when you manage it, and do not skip the scoreboard at the end. That will mean that the score is uploaded to the leaderboards.
So in order to enter, you just need to send an email with the subject “Tower of Whoop”, including your TSA ID, PSN ID and those of any co-op partners, along with your top score to Stefan@tsa2.org before 11PM on Sunday 30th of January. You can enter as many times as you like, so feel free to send in a banker entry early on, and improve on it as the week goes by. If you end up with the top entry, I will need to befriend you on PSN, so as to be able to verify your high score. If you get the top score playing co-op, then the prize winner will be determined at random.
Well? What are you waiting for? Geeeeeeet bouncing!
Before you get carried away, though, spare a thought to our GT5 and Shatter competitions. Also, we’ve got a lot planned for the next few weeks, so keep checking in on the Community, Competitions and Meets sections of the site, as well as following @thesixthaxis and @TSACom on twitter for even more TSA.

Bugger, exams end 28th. Pick up the game Friday (hungover) and make one mammoth effort on this for two days. Bring it on!

Oh and sorry, of course you can…
*Ahem* A-Whoopity woo. (Imagine I’m wearing a top-hat and a monocle and you’ll know what voice to do it in)

Just done it to get the prizes in that level, and got just over 92k. Might have another go before submitting, though I bet a lot of people are better than that and I still stuggled hitting 90k!

Just gave this a two-hour long spin and I think I did quite well to be honest. An excellent choice of level for the comp I must say, trying to keep the combo going is really addicting!

Can we have a Create challenge?

Only if you’re a good TSAer and enter this competition… ;)

I will. I will. But the main thing about LBP is the creating. And that’s what I expected when I saw the article. I just think that having a highscore challenge in LBP is kinda unoriginal, whereas, in my opinion a Create challenge would be way more interesting…

If we dunked you into a create competition on day one, though, lots of people would not get round to it. I’m barely half way through the tutorials, and I’m just refreshing myself from the beta.
Though don’t worry, this is just the beginning of our support for LBP2.

Yeah we had a Create comp quite a way into the release of LBP but I was nowhere near ready with my level. I always wanted a second comp but that was with the ulterior motive of getting my trophies ;)

I’ll only enter the inevitable create comp if I get 100% prizes by that time. Did very little creating in the last LBP, but will make more of an effort with this one.

So I guess I’m special then?
*Ahum* I skipped the tutorials and have already published a level which hasn’t gotten any negative feedback. :p

If there is a create challenge, i’ll go and play the levels made, because i’d never be able get round to entering it.

Isn’t that a win-win situation then?

On it like a car bonnet.
This is one I could possibly win with enough effort

Defo entering this.

I’ll enter this. Aren’t co-op scores going to be higher, though? (2x Sackboys should score 2x more points, shouldn’t they?) Hmmm… I’m thinking I’ll need to get four people together :)

Still the same amount of bubbles

It’s the same amount of bubbles, but, you have to bundles of hemp that can collect them, which means that they can combine to better preserve the multiplier through the level.
