Here’s a question – what’s more powerful than a loaded gun? The answer is Sackboy! That’s right, everyone’s favourite little piece of fabric has taken the UK chart by storm, coming in at number one. We were impressed by the game, and now even more impressed with the chart position.

Elsewhere Mass Effect 2 makes a Normandy sized imprint on the top ten. We loved the game, and the fact you can either buy a retail copy or download it via the PSN is the icing on the cake. Although if you do fancy downloading it, we hope you have deep pockets as it’s a hefty £47.99. Apart from that there’s not a whole lot to shout about this week.

Long live Sackboy!

  1. Fantastic, I knew Sackboy would do it. Pretty good showing by ME2 considering it is an all-format chart.

  2. Wow. I was thinking of buying ME2 thinking it might be about £20 to download (what, with the game being so old and theoretically cheaper to sell on-line) but OMG, £48!!
Guess it’ll be a while before I can get hold of that one then.

Still impressed GT5 is up there.

  3. I’m so glad dcuo isn’t there. that’ll make them think twice about such ludicrous monthly pricing in future. 3 quid a month would’ve seen triple the sales and therefore more profit imho. hope the agency is priced a little better

    • It’s bad to be glad a game isn’t there but you are totally right. £10 a month for an unproven console MMO is way too steep, and they’re paying the consequences now. there will be a monthly price reduction soon enough

  4. I can definitely confirm that LBP2 easily deserves the no.1 spot. It’s an amazing game.
The community aspect of it is leaps and bounds an improvement on LBP1. Im loving it, particularly on multiplayer

  8. Glad to see that, despite the fact that LBP2 bricked my PS3 on Friday night.

  9. It is the next on my purchase list! Money is extremely tight atm so instead plucked for the cheaper Sims 3 and I’ve got to say, seems perfect to get stuck into. Spent most of my weekend on it.
