23If you’ve managed to get past Dead Space 2 on the hardest difficulty, you’ve probably already seen what we’re about to show you. But if you’re a part of the other 99.99% of gamers that have yet to conquer the hardest difficulty, we’re going to give you some incentive to get there faster.
It’s called the ‘hand cannon’ and it’s sitting inside the in-game store after you beat the game on ‘hardcore.’ Not only is it hilarious, but it looks pretty useful. That is, if you can stomach Isaac repeatedly saying “bang bang” and “pew pew.” Take a look.

Not meaning to be pedantic but Hard Core isn’t Dead Space 2′s hardest difficulty. Essentially it is just ‘normal’ mode but you can only save 3 times throughout the game and you get no checkpoints. In terms of actual difficult, ‘Zealot’ is the hardest :P Still, an awesome reward none the less.

I’ve yet to try hardcore. Since it was above Zealot on the difficulty selection menu and wasn’t unlocked right away, I naturally assumed it was the toughest.

Understandable, as I say, the fact you can only save 3 times throughout the whole game may make it argueably the hardest mode but just thought I’d point it out ;)

nice rerward,but whats the point of getting such a weapon at the end of the game. should get it after zealot mode.
